WASH

Water, sanitation, and hygiene, SGOA delivers Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs to improve public health outcomes in vulnerable communities across Afghanistan. Our WASH interventions address the critical need for clean water, proper sanitation, and hygiene awareness.

Clean Water Access

SGOA constructs and rehabilitates water supply systems including hand pumps, solar-powered water systems, and gravity-fed schemes. We ensure communities have access to safe drinking water, reducing waterborne diseases and improving overall health.

Sanitation Facilities

We build and upgrade sanitation facilities in schools, health centers, and communities. Our programs include latrine construction, waste management systems, and drainage improvements that protect public health.

Hygiene Promotion

SGOA conducts hygiene promotion campaigns that reach thousands of families. Community health workers lead handwashing demonstrations, distribute hygiene kits, and facilitate behavior change communication sessions. We have distributed hygiene kits to over 1,050 families in Kandahar province.
